3.5 stars... This book is hard to rate for me. Mainly because I loved it and then it drove me mad. Parts were choppy and bounced from one topic to the next without transition. I found myself saying, 'Wait... What?' Which lead me to the lower rating.I loved Ian. You don't often find in Historical Romance a group of men so open about their flaws. It was refreshing. I believe that Ian suffered from Autism, his inability to look people in the eye, he excelled in many aspects of his life, and could recite large book passages from memory. Beth was refreshing and honest, married before to a man she loved deeply. What's also intriguing is that these MacKenzie men are all mad is someway and i'm intrigued to read more about them.
