Playing For Keeps (A Neighbor From Hell Series)

Playing for Keeps - R.L. Mathewson 3.5 stars... Buddy Read with Stacia. In Playing for Keeps Jason gives a new meaning to "A way to man's heart is through his stomach." This book is ridiculously funny and so real. Neither Jason or Haley could hide who they are, it was refreshing to read.“What if I promise to make you a batch of brownies tomorrow?" she asked, deciding to use his love of baked goods against him. He snorted in disbelief as he got to his feet. "I'm not some whore you can buy with a pan of yummy baked goods, woman. How dare you insult me?" he said on a sniff as he folded his arms over his chest and did his best to look put out. "Fine," Haley said with a sigh. "What if I promise to make a big bowl of frosting tomorrow and let you lick it off me?"Haley... well... what women can't relate to Haley. I mean, I sure did. What R.L. Mathewson did in writing a character like her was leave her alone, she didn't need to work out or get a makeover because Haley is an amazing women on her own. “She spied the rolled up hose and made a snap decision. This ended here and now. The days of being the world’s biggest pushover were over.” Now let's address the "My little Grasshopper" debate... It was funny at first as all tearms of endearment are but it started to get over used towards the end. That really was the only thin I found faulty in Playing for Keeps along with a few very minor editing mistakes. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Perfection
